Instructions

Do you like art? If so, what kind of art? If we think about it, we all like art in some shape or form. For some, art is a beautiful oil painting on canvas. To another, art is expressed through dance, while to another, it is expressed through one's fingers as one molds and shapes new objects made with clay. Did you know that written text can also be art? I would like all of you to be artists with the freedom to express yourselves in any way that you would like.

Every Monday morning, I will post a topic on my blog, which you are reading these instructions from. Once you have read my topic, you will need to leave a comment on my page. However, this "comment" should be more than one sentence. It should be your response to the question I am posting on my blog. I would really like to encourage you all to try to write as much as you can. Although I would like for you to write as much as you can, please do not spend more than 30 minutes writing them. If you read a comment from your classmates that you find to be interesting, feel free to comment to them as well! Lets try to make this as interactive via the Internet as possible. Your responses and comments will need to be completed by 8:00 p.m. every Friday. There will be no exception! Therefore, plan on completing this assignment before the Friday deadline in order to ensure that you receive full credit, which will be 10 points for each week.

On a final note, these blogs are intended to be fun and to allow you to further practice writing in English in a variety of avenues. Be adventurous and express yourselves! Although I am primarily looking a lot at the content, I will also be looking upon your grammar as well. Aim for grammatical accuracy. Nonetheless, have fun, and do not forget, all of you are artists!!

  2. Now that we have come to the end of the semester i am going to take a short break during the summer. After that I am going to have to work on getting the required GMAT and IELTS or TOEFL scores so that i can apply for the MBA program for the fall of 2015 in CSU-Fullerton. I am starting early in the application process, so i can have enough time to submit my scores and MBA requirements. This would also give me time to improve my English skills next year before I enter college, so I would be ready for the MBA.

I think the next important thing for me is the study in university. I feel very lucky because I have taken a TOEFL exam and get a nice score. So I will study math in CSUF in this fall.

  5. Actually, unfortunately, my scholarship is over, I have to go back to my home country. Also, I have applied for several universities for fall of 2014. However, I haven’t received any accept yet. So, the next for me is that I will back to my country until I get acceptance. As soon as I get acceptance, I will back to United State in order to get my master degree.

  6. I came here to study English, and I wanted to only improve my English. At first, I thought improving my English would help my career. Also, I made a plan to study English for 1 year and then go back to my country. However, my plan may be changed. Most students in ALP are studying English very hard to get a TOEFL score, and they challenge me whenever I see them. When I was young, I really didn’t want to study, but now I have a thinking to study in the university. I do not decide yet, and I am still thinking about that because it is very important for my life.

  7. The time is going so fast, and it is almost finished. In this semester, I learn a lot and know a lot of classmates. It is a wonderful experience for me. About the next plan, actually I still think about whether I need to stay in ALP last semester. Whatever, I need to study hard to pass the TOEFL test and get my GMAT score. Then I can apply for the university, I think this is the most important thing for me. I hope I can enter the university and study my master degree, and I will choose accounting as my major. In addition to study, I will spend some time on travelling.

  8. I could not believe that next week will be the time for many ALP students to leave CSU Fullerton to homeland and other places for pleasure. I feel a little sad that I have not met other ALP students coming from all around the world within sixteen weeks. Any way, I have a wonderful time studying the ALP program, and I have learned and filled up some writing skills that I miss with my kindly professor, May Yun. Other student I know are awesome and friendly while some students do not talk, so I do not know how to go and talk to them. My next destination is San Francisco, the city to live in Cali, many people said, but I feel it is too crowded for me to live there. Before moving to SF, I plan to go back to my home country which is LAOS. I would also my entire friends in ALP to go visiting LAOS because we have many interesting places especially the historical tourist sites, natural sites and cultural tourist sites. In 2013, Laos was awarded the world best tourist destination by UNESCO, and Luangphabang, the world heritage city, is one of the outstanding which many people around the world have known. There are tons of interesting things to discover in my homeland. I recommend and consider Laos as one of your next tour country destination in the future. After visiting Laos, I will come back to the US and continue my MIB program in San Francisco, Fall semester 2014, for one year or over a year.

  9. I can’t believe that we are coming down to the final weeks of the semester, life goes fast and show must go on. However, I learn many things in ALP and had a good time with my class mates. Unfortunately, there is no way and each of us should find the best way. The Next for me is studying in university and all the thing is depend on my IELTS score. If I pass the IELTS exam in good score, I can enter to the university and study in my major which is mechanical engineering in master degree.
